This September, we're excited to have the opportunity to serve Young Life College students as they attend their Fall Weekend trip at Rockbridge Young Life Camp in Goshen, Virginia.
During the weekend, our students will be the Work Crew serving behind the scenes preparing meals with the kitchen staff, serving meals to campers, washing dishes, making lattes in the coffee bar, selling merchandise in the camp store, preparing milkshakes and nachos in the snack bar, and cleaning common areas to keep camp looking pristine for the campers. All of these tasks will be an incredible opportunity for our high schoolers to grow a heart of service for others, grow in community with each other, and grow in our faith together. (This trip will count for service hours required for graduation and National Honor Society.)
We will stay in resort-style cabins tucked away from the college student lodging and students will be partnered with their friends and leaders throughout the weekend. Since Friday is a big football night, we will drive down as soon as the football games end, (around 9:00 p.m.) We plan to return on Sunday afternoon (around 4:00 / 5:00 p.m.) We will be sure to have students reach out to their parents / guardians with an updated ETA to give you three hours notice.
